Exercise (I) – Investment Research & Planning Solution
The brief was to create an investment research and planning solution that simplifies complicated financial terminology and concepts used to evaluate stocks, mutual funds and other personal investment options so that users are comfortable and confident of making their own investment choices and decisions. It should be detailed enough to capture at least one complete flow – end to end scenario.
The project was done as a selection exercise for an internship interview and was completed in a short span of 48 hours.
Assumption – For my solution, I was only considering people who are smartphone friendly.
PRELIMINARY RESEARCH & IDEATION
After gaining enough information about the topic, I went ahead to think of possible design interventions which can actually help me come up with something which addresses my concerns; make the decision making quicker & help the users increase their risk-taking appetites.
WIREFRAMES & UI
The purpose of the platform is just not limited to help one make gains but also experience losses, so that once the user is out on his/her own, they are more comfortable trusting themselves.
Exercise (II) – Disaster Relief platform
While one cannot do much to alter a natural calamity, humanity usually wins over any disaster. People go out of the way to help each other, organizations take up rescue and rebuilding work, doctors provide free help, so on and so forth. In situations like this, on one side there are several people who face life-threatening challenges like shortage of food, medical emergencies, hygiene issues; on the other side there are groups of volunteers ready to help the people in need.
The brief was to come up with an app/platform that can connect people in a disaster situation; help-seeker with people who can provide help; help-provider.
The project was done as a selection exercise for an internship interview and was completed in a short span of 24 hours.
